Welcome to Metropolitan Community College Omaha, Nebraska

The Metro Writer, an online student magazine, publishes all types of academic and literary writing, including descriptive, narrative, expository, and persuasive works, as well as creative prose and poetry.  We encourage writings from across the disciplines and also welcome visual art. Our goal is to showcase the best of the many voices, styles, and subjects Metro writers and readers find meaningful and to support critical thinking, creativity, and expression at Metropolitan Community College.

Metro Writer accepts submissions year round with a deadline for each year’s issue.

Invitation for Student Staff: MW seeks enthusiastic students to assist in an extra curricular capacity with editing, design, and/or promotion. Excellent communication, research, organizational, and computing skills are desirable; however, students who show initiative and commitment to learning and teamwork will be considered for staff assignments.
