Handling Tips and General Information:

The typical Florida orange is thin skinned and its natural color is yellowish or yellowish-orange. Early and midseason varieties are picked from October through March. Florida also grows a variety of orange called Valencia. It is marketed from February through July. Ninety percent of Florida oranges are processed into juice. Not only is orange juice a great refreshment but it also good for you. It is high in vitamin C. Vitamin C is important for the production and maintenance of collagen ( a scar tissue which heals wounds and reinforces connective tissue - teeth and bones and so on). Vitamin C is also used to promote the absorption of iron.
.Orange juice makes a very delicious thirst quenching refreshment to supplement this meal, as well as supplying us with the essential Vitamin - Vitamin C.
