Peak season is midsummer to winter, however it is found year round.

Usage:

The Chinese Gooseberry is a native of China, however it is known as the Kiwi fruit of New Zealand. It is grown extensively in Central California. 
The small, oval fruit has a thin brownish-green skin with a fuzzy surface. The flesh, which is a distinctive green, with tiny purplish seeds surrounding a white core, may be eaten raw or cooked. It has a taste that resembles strawberries and pineapple with a banana like texture. It is considered one of the most nutrient dense fruits, loaded with vitamin C and potent anti-oxidents. Kiwifruit comes packed in counts 25, 27, 28, 30, 33,
36, 39, 42 (45 count special order)  Each fruit individually placed in
plastic cup holders, 1 layer per tray
