Handling Tips and General Information:

This ugly member of the Mandarin or Tangerine family is the sweetest, hence the name Honey. The flesh is bright orange, extremely juicy and is used primarily for juice. The skin or rind is a mottled brown russet to orange with flecks or spots. The skin is loose and very thin. Honey tangerines are high in vitamin C, and antioxidants. 

Select fruit heavy for size, firm mature fruits.150 count are best for yield. Avoid fruit that is soft and puffy. Honey Tangerines come in grades U.S. Fancy, U.S. #1 Bronze, U.S. Russet, U.S. No 2. Store at 33-38 degrees F.

Pack, standard box 44/48 lbs. net, 52/56 lbs. gross. Yield for 1 Honey Tangerine yields half cup juice, or approx. 8 segments.
