Clementines are imported  from Morocco and Spain, and occasionally grown and shipped from Florida

Peak Season:


Peak season for Oranges is during the Winter months, October through February. 

Handling Tips and General Information:

Clementines are considered a subspecies of Tangerine, while others consider it a hybrid cross between Sweet Oranges and Tangerines. Clementines should be stored at 34 degrees F.  Some grades available to foodservice are Fancy and Choice.                                                   

Clementines come packed in 22 lb. boxes or 5 lb. net wrapped boxes, or loose. Quality Clementines should be plump, firm and heavy for their size, very sweet with a floral finish, with thin, loose skin.  One Clementine  has at least 50% of the Daily Value of vitamin C. 

Clementines have an occasional seed, but these are not annoying. It is a traditional winter treat eaten out of hand, used for sauces, entree enhancements, and dessert.
